LaGrange Man Caught With Several Pounds Of Pot, Marijuana Plants

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested a 50-year-old resident of Lagrangeville on a marijuana possession charge Thursday, state police said.

The suspect, identified as Michael Bott, was taken into custody following an investigation that resulted in the seizure of several marijuana plants and approximately 3.7 pounds of marijuana, according to state police.

Bott has been charged with possession of marijuana in the second degree, a class D felony, along with unlawful growing of cannabis, a class A misdemeanor, according to state police.

The defendant was arraigned in the Town of LaGrange Court, and released on his own recognizance, state police said.

He is scheduled to reappear in court on Tuesday, Oct. 18, according to state police.
